6-Year-Old Girl and Mother Found Stabbed to Death in Bronx Apartment

March 05, 2022 – BRONX, NY: A mother and daughter were found stabbed to death Saturday evening after a wellness check led police to the gruesome discovery. Just before midnight, police officers from the 47th precinct responded to the call for a wellness check at 4024 Monticello Avenue in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers found two unresponsive females inside a bedroom of the Bronx Apartment. A 26-year-old woman and a 6-year-old girl were both found with multiple stab wounds throughout the body. According to police, EMS responded and pronounced both mother and child dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday afternoon. Bronx detectives have obtained surveillance video with a person of interest. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
