55-year-old Woman Shot Outside of Bronx Zoo, Left in Life Threatening Condition

August 05, 2022 | BRONX, New York: A 55-year-old woman was shot in her back near a Bus stop, just outside of Bronx Zoo on Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the location after reports of shots being fired around 5:42pm, in the Belmont section of the Bronx.

Officers found a woman shot at least once in back near a bus stop outside of the Bronx Zoo, according to officials.

Woman was rushed to the hospital in a life threatening condition, police said.

According to police, two suspects fled on a black and red motorcycles and at this time there are no arrests.
