32-year-old Bike Rider Injured, 19-year-old Woman in Critical Condition after Speeding Car Crash in Bedstuy Brooklyn

November 5 2023 BROOKLYN, New York – A driver, speeding, struck a 32-year-old bike rider and a 19-year-old woman walking on a street just before midnight in Bedstuy neighborhood.

Police say a woman driver is in custody after police say she crashed into both a cyclist and a pedestrian.

The incident happened on the corner of Halsey Street and Tompkins Avenue where woman driving a black BMW struck the two people.

Witness says that as chaotic scene unfolded, the driver of the BMW was trying to switch seats with her passenger after the crash as people confronted them. She was seen detained on scene.
