13-year-old Boy Shot Multiple Times, Killed as Violence in Crown Heights Continues

March 1 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – A 13-year-old boy was shot multiple times on a Brooklyn street just blocks away from his home, Thursday evening.

Troy Grill, was shot and killed in Crown Heights as violence continues in the area, marking it as the third fatal shooting just this week.

Police say Gill was shot multiple times around 10:40 p.m. on St. Marks and Brooklyn Avenues. Victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Only a few days ago, on February 26, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – A Brooklyn bodega worker was shot and killed by a patron on Monday afternoon, cops said.

Nazim Berry, 36, was shot at least once in the head and found by police on the sidewalk outside of the Amin Deli on Franklin Avenue near Lincoln Place in Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Nazim was rushed to Kings County Hospital with a critical injuries and pronounced deceased, police said.

At around 4:18pm, police responded to the shooting. No reported arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
